I am a pseudonym, a pen-name, one who writes without giving one's real identity. You may assume I am a man pretending to be a women, or that I'm simply a woman who's tired of being categorized, misrepresented, and dismissed. What I will tell you: I am a person in search of understanding - understanding others and understanding myself. The things I have found through anonymity are things I could not find myself, the things people reveal to a stranger are not the things they reveal to someone with a face. In some ways, hiding myself over the internet is a lie, but in others, it allows me to express myself in ways so honest and close to my heart that it surpasses the real world. I beg you, the humble visitor to my LiveJournal, to respect that desire for anonymous honesty.

If you know a person, you have preconceptions about them. The simple nature of their being, their existence, at the briefest of glances, colors your perceptions of their words. But anonymously, all that is left is their words. Normally, one confronts a person's face, their life, their history, their past mistakes and successes. Anonymously, all that is left to confront is the heart and mind.

My LiveJournal is about writing, about things that pique instant joy, and things which inspire long and difficult consideration. I love geeky stuff and jock stuff and girly stuff and guy stuff and kid stuff and adult stuff and simple stuff and complicated stuff and idle stuff and active stuff. I like poetry, and life is poetry.

I am a butterfly dreaming she is a woman. I am a persona, but my feelings are real. My life is just a story, and I am not real. I yearn for reality, but find myself falling short. I think, I feel, I love, I hurt, but I do not exist.
